The Bikery Cafe and Catering started pedaling in June (2016) and hasn't stopped!
Founder Samara is locally grown and loves to eat - her first job was in a cafe and many years of it followed as well as nibbling her way around the world. Now back to her foodie roots and with a family history of tummy issues, Samara understands the frustration eating out for the digestively challenged and strives to make it a bit easier - "we can't cover all bases but we do what we can!" The cafe has been a little creative outlet for Samara. She wanted to make a special place where friends and families would love to relax, eat and chat - while trading home grown goodies and maybe even getting some exercise nearby.
Aside from the wonderful young women you see front of house, we have a brilliant kitchen crew who really are the bones of the place. There is family dotted here and there with big-little sister Tal bringing loads of smiles to the service (see right) as well as mum Ally pottering around the place on busy days. Resident handyman Matthew's work is visible throughout the cafe and Samara is here pretty much every day keeping an eye on things and probably drinking her body weight in coffee.
Our food philosophy
We believe in clean, fresh, interesting and a bit of love. We make a huge effort to create everything ourselves and only buy in those that some other special folk do much better (having our own farm and milking shed is not quite on the cards!).
Our menu makes the most of local seasonal produce and includes clean, free range and organic goodness. We do our best to make sure there is something for every tummy. We think that every meal should have something a little bit special that doesn't require a dictionary. Hopefully we can teach you a new ingredient and hope that you could return the favour... learning is the spice of life!
