We are so excited to be part of the Official Venue of the Track Cycling Competition for the World Masters Games. This is the world’s largest multi-sport event with over 25,000 participants expected in NZ over the next few weeks. The Track event will take place from Wednesday 26th – Friday 28th April at the Avantidrome and there are almost 300 riders taking part. It is free to attend for spectators so we encourage you to come out and support our world class master riders!
We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the games onsite at the Avantidrome. Come and join the festivities, we'll take care of the eats ☕🥞
We are licensed and even have a kiosk upstairs in the action with coffee, food, beer and wine.

The corner paddock by the main car park will be opened for overflow parking. We appreciate your patience during these busy times.
Look kiddos the newest addition to this awesome facility is now open! Complete with picnic tables and right next door to the Bike Skills Park. All this on the Te Awa River Ride!

A very Merry Christmas and happy holidays from The Bikery Cafe. The sun has been shining, our passionfruit are growing (and sunflowers!), the festive season is flowing. The team here will be taking a break from the 24th and returning on the 7th with an exciting new menu! We look foward to sharing many yummy memories with you all in 2017. Come and see Olympic Silver medalists and World Champions Ethan Mitchell, Sam Webster and Eddie Dawkins hit full speed and take on the rest of New Zealand’s top Sprint Cyclists at the Avantidrome on Sunday 27th November.
Others racing on the day will include 2016 Junior Track World Champions, Bradly Knipe and Emma Cumming, along with the 2016 Junior Oceania Sprint squad.
Riders will compete in a 200TT to determine ranks before they proceed to a sprint and a Keirin series and battle it out for the title.
Warm-up starts at 12 noon and racing kicks off at 12:45 pm.
Entry for spectators is free so come along and see some great racing featuring some of the fastest track sprinters in the world!
We spy a bit of work going on next to the Gallagher Bike Skills Park... Looks like a playground is starting to take shape which will be a wonderful addition to round off an awesome facility, for all skill levels! Should be ready for summer, happy days :)
This week we finally got to say hello to the big yellow wheel in the sky with a hint of summer on the trail. It is so cool to see lots of families riding out their rugrats at the bike park with lots of smiles in the sun.. entertainment for the kids all round, keep it coming sun master!
Wednesdays are a wonderful thing at The Bikery. Featured on our new menu, the Ginger laced Kumara Waffles, give people something to smile about mid week at the wheelie good price of $12. Tummy and tastebud friendly! Get down to The Bikery Cafe for Waffle Wednesday.
